We know father's day was last weekend, but we would like to say a big thank you to our wonderful father and fabulous illustrator John Butler.

And with fathers in the spotlight, it seems appropriate that today's star of Friday's fun fact should be our little penguin.
Penguins also have a lot to thank their fathers for. Did you know that father Emperor penguins withstand the Antarctic cold to protect their eggs for two months without food? While the mother returns to the sea in search of food, the father cradles his egg on his feet, covered with a feathered flap until the mother returns.
